Fear holds us as prisoners and keeps us tied up in chains.
I’ve had a couple of visions of this that have revealed the truth.
In one vision I could see the person I was ministering to with heavy chains wrapped all over them. They appeared to be completely tied up. As I was praying, I was looking around for the key to unlock the chains in the vision. Suddenly, I noticed there was no lock. The chains were laying on the person but there was no lock. All they had to do was grab the chains and lift them off. I knew I couldn’t do it for them, they had to do it themselves. It had to be their choice. You see, the weight and confinement of the chains had become comforting. The chains had become a sense of false security and to be free of them was to expose themselves to the unknown.
In another vision I had during worship one day I saw that there are souls that are sitting in prison cells. The door however is wide open. All they have to do to be free is to walk through the door and into freedom, yet they choose not to. The prison cell has become comfortable. Stepping out from it is frightening.
I understood through both of these visions that FEAR was the main culprit that was keeping these souls locked away.
The first thing they needed to be free was to become aware that there were no locks. They could walk free at any time, but FEAR had tricked them into thinking that it was better to stay the way they were than to expose themselves to the unknown.
The second thing they needed was GRACE (God’s help). This could come to them through a revelation of the Holy Spirit, or the encouragement of a faith filled person depending on how ready they were to make a change in their lives.
Finally, they needed the WILL to walk the process out.
1st – Become aware and don’t justify
2nd – Ask for God’s help (Grace)
3rd – Resolve to press forward through the fear and DO IT!
I'm praying for you,
