If you’re believing lies about yourself because of insecurities, you are living under a false identity. The most effective way to transform your mind is through God’s Word. You don’t have to talk yourself into believing like when using positive affirmations. The breath of God Himself seeps into your mind and begins to blow away all the negative talk and lies.
This week I’m going to ask you to go back to the running list you’ve been working on.
Take each negative lie you’ve been believing about yourself and find the opposite of it in the Bible.
For the rest of the instructions, listen to the short video, click the thumbs up if you liked it, and leave me your thoughts in the comments.
I’m praying for you.
How to Go Form Insecurity To Self-Confidence Final Part
This may be the final part to this little series, but it is definitely not the end. Remember, it’s a journey that will take a little time but if you’re diligent it won’t take forever.
Recap of the last few weeks.
1 – Pay attention to the thoughts you have about yourself and what you say about yourself. Write them down in a running log.
2- Use the formula – Repent, Rebuke, Bless (See week 2, if you missed it).
3 – Pay attention to the thoughts and words that sound familiar to the ones you’ve already handed over to Christ. Remember, these attached lies can cause you to doubt your healing. (See week 3, if you missed it).
4 – Transform your thoughts by using God’s Word. Take each negative lie you’ve been believing about yourself and find the opposite of it in the Bible and declare it out loud over yourself. (See week 4, if you missed it).
I have found that the process happens a lot quicker by consistently reading and studying my bible, frequenting the sacraments, spending time in thanksgiving and prayer every day, and attending conferences, prayer groups, healing Masses and services, and Christian worship concerts.
The more you are saturated by an atmosphere of heaven the more you will begin to live heaven on earth.
The key that I have found is the most transforming is using God’s Word, the Bible. I consistently see Christians do everything else on that list but they don’t read, study, and declare God’s Word.
Now take it a step further apply ALL of this to your thoughts about other people as well. Practicing this will help you grow in holiness and make you a much nicer person.
Next week we’re going to start a dialog about the monster, FEAR.
Praying for you,
