Happy Pentecost Sunday!
I encourage you to listen to this video, read, study, and meditate on the scriptures provided here. Let me know what the Holy Spirit reveals to you below. Catch the Fire and burn within, Ivonne The Throne in Heaven: Revelation 4 Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. He is a gift. Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit Luke 11:13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” He is Power Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” He is like a mighty rushing wind and fire. Acts 2:1-47 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. .. . John 3:8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Matthew 3:11 “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire. He is the Helper John 16:7-15 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. He is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. He is Truth John 14:15-17 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. John 16:12-15 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you. He is Freedom 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. He lives within us. Ezekiel 36:26-27 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. Romans 8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. Romans 8:11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. He is Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge, and Awe. Isaiah 11:2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. Covid19 with its quarantine and staying away from people has really messed with our faith life. We haven’t been able to gather as a community to study the scriptures, hold prayer meetings, and share in fellowship. I know that many have backslidden in their connection with God and are feeling dry and lost. You feel the void in your spirit but you can’t seem to get out of the slump. While things are slowly opening up most faith gatherings are not in full swing yet. So, what can we do about it while we wait? The truth is that while we absolutely need community around us it should not be the only source that feeds us. The scriptures tell us that the deeper we press into God, he continuously infuses us with strength and encourages us in every way. We can absorb faith through our devotion to Jesus and it will enrich us. We need to practice being alone with God. Let me give you some suggestions that might help. - Set an appointment with God in a designated space every day (10 mins. – 1 hour). Put it in your calendar if that’s how you best operate. Make it personal.
Get creative. Think about how you would spend time with a friend and use that same thing to spend time with God. It will become a Holy Addiction for you. More addicting than your phone and TV. Be intentional! Listen to the 9 minute video and receive the prayer at the end Please leave your questions and comments below. If this video helped you, please click the thumbs up icon. Let your brain BLOOM!
I hope this 5 minute video inspires you for Mother’s Day and Mental Health Awareness Month. Use God’s Word to transform your mind. Give the gift of God’s Word to help transform someone else’s mind. Today we will practice praying God’s Word together. If you stick with me to the end of the video (13 minutes total) I will pray for you to open up to this powerful way of speaking God's truth over your life. Most people go through life believing things about themselves that are not true. They live under a false identity. This is true tragedy because it inhibits the person to live out the fullness of their purpose in life. I’ve noticed a trend of positive self-affirmations on social media. While it is good to practice positive affirmations that alone will not bring the transformation that so many are looking for. The truth is that complete healing and transformation comes only through God and His Word. Why? Because God IS love and we are forgiven, healed and transformed through Love. I encourage you to practice speaking the truth of who you are by using God’s Word as affirmations. God’s Word is alive and it’s active. Sharper than ANY two-edge sword. There is power behind God’s Word! Hebrews 4:12 12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Speak out at least 3 of these scriptural affirmations every day! AM… I am a child of God (John 1:12) I am a daughter of God; God is spiritually my Father (Romans 8:14-15; Galatians 3:26; 4:6) |
